Project Management

Project management takes things off the client’s hands, but ensures he’s kept informed and engaged without being swamped with needless distraction.

Of course, you know that project management is the end-to-end planning, organisation and direction of resources – and one of those resources is your time and money. Because we’re experts, we take less time to address and deliver against any given objective, task or challenge than somebody in-house and non-project management-specialist, and we’ve got the hi-vis jacket and hard hat – in several languages – to prove it. And, of course, we all have better things to do with our time and money – and it’s usually something we – you – know more about, such as running your business.

We’re unashamed innovators when it comes to project management, but unfortunately somebody beat us to the cliché: what we don’t know about project management probably isn’t worth knowing.

Our expertise and experience includes surveying, architecture and engineering, and our senior staff possess additional post-chartered-level project management qualifications. Not only are they good – they’re obsessive.

Our specialist services encompass:

Executive project management

Responsible to the project sponsor for all aspects of the project, we can operate as an extension of the client’s organisation, or in an independent capacity. Co-ordination of internal and external resources into a cohesive and motivated team focused on the client’s objectives. Managing the procurement and appointment of consultants, contractors and suppliers for our clients.

Turn-key project management

The development of specific turn-key project structures which meet the organisational needs of the client; on a day-to-day basis; particularly when applied to roll out developments with multiple projects over limited periods of time.

Feasibility studies and business case preparation

Undertake strategic reviews and evaluation of project options in response to the client’s business requirements, including formalising the business case for the project.

Planning and programme management

Developing project programmes in line with business requirements and external constraints and monitoring progress for individual projects or strategic programme management of a number of projects.

Risk management

Identifying the risks facing a particular project and their likely impact; managing the risks and ensuring a clear allocation of risks in contractual arrangements.

Value engineering services

Ensuring that the project is measured against its objectives in a systematic manner to ensure value for money. This comprises assessment of strategic objectives and value engineering of detailed technical solutions.

Information management

Development of project control systems to ensure that all parties have project information at the right time and in the right place.

Design management

Co-ordinating the input of architects, engineers and designers with constant reference to the client’s objectives to ensure that the optimum design solution is achieved.
