Access Storage
McBains Cooper provided interdisciplinary consulting services to the client, encompassing a ‘one-stop shop’ for all pre-acquisition and construction services.
Addenbrookes
McBains Cooper prepared a design solution, paying careful attention to the civic architecture of a new part of the hospital campus whilst stepping down to respond to an existing residential and college area beyond.
Anderston Phase 1
Phase 1 of a £60 million comprehensive regeneration consisting of 5 phases in total. Phase 1 included the construction of 104 flats and maisonettes on Argyle Street, Little Street and McIntyre Street.
Attica Region 14 Schools
This is the first schools PPP project in Greece and includes the Design, Construction and Facilities Management of 14 school units spread across Attica.
B&Q
The project had obtained planning with a minimal amount of sustainable initiatives. By demonstrating to the client the long term financial benefits and business (retail experience) of a geothermal ground source solution combined with an underfloor system, the client decided to invest on the solution.
Bakar
This brownfield development is a social housing led mixed use development. Townscape value played a major role in the overall form of the new town.
Banks
McBains Cooper has provided Cost Consultancy services to Barclays since 1985, following the award of a formal national framework in 1999 we began working on the Retail Network on a national agreement.
Beshmertebe Regeneration
The brown field development is a mixed use development which is predominantly social housing for the relocated population affected by this regeneration.
Bracknell Hospital
Royal Berkshire Bracknell Clinic is a redevelopment of an existing office building in the heart of Bracknell into a cancer and renal dialysis treatment centre with supporting services of diagnostic imaging and pathology.

Due diligence services including risk profiling/analysis, management of surveys/investigations project management, cost planning & cost management.
Cotswold Housing Partnership
A partnership between four housing associations and the district council, completing 200 new affordable homes in the Cotswold District.
Crampton Street
New build development incorporating 3 buildings of 136 flats for private sale, 44 flats for social housing, 17 live/work units and 5 commercial units within the Elephant and Castle regeneration area
Dilijan Riverside Quarter
We were commissioned by World Bank to produce strategic proposals for regenerating Dilijan by building upon its heritage and brand the town as world class cultural asset and develop its potential for future economic growth.
Embassy Court
Construction of a new luxury residential development in St John’s Wood, London. The scheme incorporate a number of ‘green’ measures, including under-floor heating and cooling supplied by a closed loop geothermal system, high thermal performance fabric, roof design to enable rainwater recovery for non-potable purposes, minimisation of uncontrolled air infiltration due to leakage, use of building’s foundations as a thermal store, centralised controls.
Firmdale Hotel
The development of an 86 bedroom boutique hotel extending to 75,000sq ft in the heart of SoHo, Manhattan, NYC.
Garrison Estate
The Garrison Estate, located on a 19 hectare site along the River Thames in Purfleet Essex, is a low rise 1960s housing estate comprising 350 housing units owned and managed by Thurrock Borough Council.
Garth Hill College
Construction of a new 13,000 sq m school (1,550 pupils) at Garth Hill College to replace the existing school building & facilities. The existing school is to remain operational during the construction of the new buildings.
Garza Sada, Monterrey
Mixed-use development located very close to one of the best Universities in Mexico, TEC Monterrey.
Gloucestershire Constabulary HQ
This was the first Police Headquarters project undertaken by McBains Cooper following our considerable success with police custodial projects.
Harris Manchester College
Historic renovation and refurbishment of the existing grade 2 properties fronting Holywell Street, Oxford, to provide improved student accommodation and tutor rooms.
Mitikah, Mexico City
Mixed-use development including one of the tallest buildings in Latin America designed by respected architect Cesar Pelli.

An ongoing national programme for the refurbishment of New Look stores. McBains Cooper provide dilapidations advice, contract administration and obtaining statutory consents.
North Kent Police
New divisional headquarters including a custody facility and storage for Kent Police.

Refurbishment and conversion of existing Grade II listed properties in Mayfair to form 6 high quality apartments including an ambassadorial ballroom and ancillary accommodation.
Phones 4 U
Providing pre-acquisition reports, measured surveys, store layout design, dilapidations advice, defect reports, contract administration, structural engineering advice, project management and employer’s agent services on a national basis.

Rose Hill Redevelopment
Under a joint Development Agreement between Oxford City Council, OCHA and the developer, the project included the demolition of existing poor-quality housing stock (mainly owned by OCC) and the construction of 259 new homes.
Runshaw College
Demolition of the former 1970s, single storey precast concrete frontage and visitors’ reception and replacement with a fully glazed two storey frontage with sandstone facings to house a new entrance, visitors’ reception area, administration offices.
San Agustin New City
Development of a new city in a 900-ha area in the middle of the desert near Ciudad Juarez, very close to the border with Texas, USA and one of the most important border crossings.
Santa Lucía, Monterrey
One of the major developments in Monterrey, comprising 195,000sqm of built space.
Shiregreen
Following a stock transfer from Sheffield Council, during which McBains Cooper undertook tenant consultation and proposal preparation, Sanctuary set out to refurbish and upgrade 2,500 houses on the 1930s Shiregreen estate.
Skyteam
A new and exclusive business lounge featuring a unique vertical garden wall. The 1,500 sq m double-storey lounge isl located in BA’s existing Concorde lounge and seats 325 passengers.
St Ann’s Hospice
We have worked with the St Ann’s over several years providing advice and support for refurbishment projects at their Heald Green, Little Hulton and Wythenshawe Hospital facilities. This work has involved reconfiguration and improvement of entrance and reception areas, a new ambulance canopy, staff rest facilities, relatives and visitors lounge and coffee shop, overnight stay facilities and upgrade of Day Care facilities.
St Mark’s Academy
The existing school upgraded with a New Main Hall and Library and including refurbishment to selective areas, to encompass its upgrade to a Performance Arts Academy.
Tameside General Hospital
A major redevelopment of the existing A&E department, requiring a full design, project planning and cost management service. The department needed to remain fully operational throughout, and the designers worked closely with the clinicians and estates management to arrive at a practical phasing strategy.

Tbilisi Aquarea
The project site is the capital city of the Republic of Georgia on its north eastern side, an area of land stretching up from the Tbilisi Sea. McBains Cooper was commissioned to provide a strategic framework for a world class new development in the city close to and along the shores of the Tbilisi Sea.
