Leading multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy McBains Cooper has appointed Dr Geoff Seeff as Head of Regeneration to focus the firm’s drive to develop business within the regeneration sector and particularly in the sub-sectors of tourism, leisure and culture.
Geoff, a chartered accountant and management consultant, has over a period of more than 20 years built an expertise in the economics of urban regeneration. He has particular experience of delivering regeneration through the tourism, leisure and cultural industries in both UK and overseas.
Up until recently with Currie & Brown, Geoff has advised a variety of public sector agencies responsible for regeneration on the feasibility, management, funding and sustainability of major high profile projects.
In his role with McBains Cooper, Geoff will work closely with the firm’s expanding Project Management division in London. He will assist in marketing and help secure and lead project assessment and monitoring work from funders and other stakeholders in regeneration projects that are not involved in day-to-day management.
“This is an exciting opportunity to extend market-reach and capitalise on the remarkable organic growth that McBains Cooper has achieved over the past three years,” said Alan Muse, Director of Project Management at McBains Cooper.
McBains Cooper is particularly skilled at satisfying the complex requirements of the current trend towards high profile, mixed-used schemes, typically combining out of town shopping and retail parks with sport and leisure, hotel, residential and office accommodation.
McBains Cooper is currently involved in several regeneration schemes including projects at Elephant & Castle, the £400m regeneration of the Irish Quarter in central Birmingham and the £85m regeneration programme at Ardler Village in Dundee. |
